The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is an agency of the U.S. Government whose mission is to implement the U.S. Government's economic and humanitarian assistance programs over 100 countries. As part of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, USAID/Russia works with the Russian people to create a society where citizens take an active part in a democratic society and ample opportunity to improve their well being and standard of living in a market economy.

 

The Open Society Institute (OSI)

The Open Society Institute (OSI), a private operating and grantmaking organization founded by George Soros, aims to shape public policy to promote democratic governance, human rights, and economic, legal, and social reform. On a local level, OSI implements a range of initiatives to support the rule of law, education, public health, and independent media. OSI operates in more than 30 countries.

 

 

The Dynasty Foundation
The Dynasty Foundation for non-commercial programs was established by Dmitry B. Zimin, the Honorary President of Vympelcom, in 2001. The Foundation's key projects focus on science and education aimed at intellectual development of the nation. The Foundation considers support for Russian fundamental science and its popularization as strategic priorities of its activities.

 

 

Eurasia Foundation 

Eurasia Foundation is a privately managed non-profit organization which promotes development of democratic institutions and private enterprise in 12 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. It believes that societies function best when people take responsibility for their own civic and economic prosperity. Through cooperation based on mutual respect, Foundation’s programs equip citizens to define and achieve outcomes of enduring benefit to their communities.  


The Norwegian Ministry of foreign affairs

The Norwegian Ministry of foreign affairs supports the transition to democracy and market economy in Central and Eastern Europe. As part of its collaboration with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe the Norwegian Ministry of foreign affairs supports cooperative projects in the Russian Northwest and pays special attention to the Barents Sea region. These projects focus on the following priorities: democratic development, development of health care and social security, environmental protection, education and research, as well as infrastructure and business development. 

 


The Norwegian Barents Secretariat

The Norwegian Barents Secretariat ensures practical support of the Russian – Norwegian collaboration in the northern regions and provides financial support to projects designed to foster cross-border cooperation. Such projects are implemented in the sphere of culture, entrepreneurship and private business, education, ecology, indigenous northern peoples, youth affairs, and health care. The principal objective of the Barents Secretariat is to support the Barents Regional Council, Norwegian bodies of power, and other large regional structures. The Secretariat has a distributed network of partners and closely cooperates with European Union and international organizations.

 

 

Charles Stewart Mott Foundation

Charles Stewart Mott Foundation is a private operating non-profit grantmaking organization, its HQ situated in Flint, Michigan. Charles Stewart Mott, an automotive pioneer of the General Motors Corporation, established the C.S. Mott Foundation in 1926, in response to his deep concern about the welfare of Flint, Michigan as well as his abiding affection for his adopted community. Foundation strives to enhance community in its many forms through creative grantmaking, thoughtful communication and other activities adhering to an ethic of respect, integrity and responsibility.

The Foundation's main mission is to provide in-depth analysis of the evolving social, economic and political situation in Russia and in the world. The Foundation's aim is to help assert democratic values and moral, humanistic principles in the life of society. U.S.-Russia Business Council

The U.S.-Russia Business Council (USRBC) is a Washington-based trade association that provides significant business development, dispute resolution, government relations, and market intelligence services to its American and Russian member companies. The USRBC provides senior management of American companies a forum to continually monitor their Russian market strategies as conditions change. The Council has also successfully acted on behalf of member firms to resolve specific commercial disputes and to influence Russian policies that negatively impact their business in Russia.

The Good Neighbours Fund
