Development of migration processes is one of the New Eurasia Foundation’s principal operation areas.  Within this area FNE strives to develop a mechanism of network-based communication between the bodies of power, businesses, and nongovernmental organizations to ensure that the public is well informed of the migration-related issues and migrants’ rights in the Russian regions and CIS countries.

The FNE projects in the field of migration, both completed and current, are designed:

•    To stimulate effective collaboration between the bodies of power and civil society institutions with the view to improve the regulation quality of migration processes in the Russian regions and CIS;
•    To design a system of monitoring of migration processes in the Russian regions and CIS;
•    To develop and support a network of nongovernmental organizations in Russia and CIS operating in the field of migration;
•    To design and deploy effective mechanisms and models of legal migration, social adaptation of migrants, and their integration into recipient communities;
•    To exchange international experiences and best practices in the solution of migration-related problems.
